How does the lamp work ?

At the base of the lamp, there is an ultrasonic sensor which calculates the distance between the hand and the base. Then the equivalent distance is being lightend with the LEDs.

Do I need to turn the lamp with a button ?

There is no button to turn on or off the lamp, everything is done with the hand gesture.
